##### What is Rokkaku-Daioh ? #####
Rokkaku-Daioh (Roku) is a new concept 3-D graphics tool.
You can generate 3-D polygon models automatically from 2-D drawings.
#####Required System#####
System software---System7.0 or later (Includes System7.5).
Hardware---256(or more) Color machine is better.
Both 68K Mac & PowerMac are welcome (Fat binary).
#####Files in Archive#####
Rokkaku-Daioh50 ---Rokkaku-Daioh itself.
ReadMeFirst ---This document.
Ayu ---Sample files.

#####How to use Rokkaku-Daioh#####
There are Help pictures in [Help…] under Apple menu. But they do not describe all
commands in Rokkaku-Daioh. So, try & learn yourself. :-)
#####Development Environment#####
OS--- Kanji-Talk7.5 (System7.5 Japanese version)
Language--- CodeWarriorGold5 + ThinkClassLibraly 2.0.3
Machine--- PowerMac7100/66AV + memory 16M
#####Technology of Rokkaku-Daioh#####
There are several methods to get 3-D models from 2-D pictures. The methods
are researched as "Computer Vision".
1. Shape from Shading
Get 3D model from shaded pictures.
2. Shape from Motion
Get 3D model from several pictures from different angles. It is difficult to
draw same 3D object precisely from different angles for designers.
3. Shape from Polygon, Shape from Right-angled Corners
It is difficult to apply this method for curves and curved surfaces.
4. Shape from Symmetry (Rokkaku-Daioh)
It is difficult to make non-symmetrical object.
Methods used in Rokkaku-Daioh are described in the documents below.

Symmetry Recovery Method",IEEE Trans on Pattern analysis and Machine
intelligence, Vol.14 No.9, pp941-946, 1992.

#####Thanks######
This software is based on the research in Tokyo Institute of Technology.
I thank Dr.Kanai and people in his lab. I thank my friends in Japan.
And i thank Otto.G who sent me great report of beta version. And i thank
Masafumi.U who told me some technical comments.
#####About Distribution#####
Rokkaku-Daioh is a freeware, and it may be freely distributed. The Developer of
Rokkaku-Daioh (it's me) is not liable for any damages resulting from
Rokkaku-Daioh.
#####My Address#####
